The museum is home to the treasures of the Basilica of San Nicola: Russian and Greek icons, gold work, crowns, objects of sacred art and relics from the Holy Land, in addition to paintings, furnishings and especially sculptures, often fragmentary, found inside the towers and under the floor of the transept, and the crypt during recent restoration work.
