The Teatro Petruzzelli is Bari’s foremost cultural institution and the fourth-largest theatre in Italy. Located in the very heart of the city, in Corso Cavour.
On the night of October 26-27, 1991, the theatre was completely destroyed by a fire. The last performance presented there was “Norma”. The theatre was rebuilt and reopened in 2008.
